So here’s what I’ve been doing instead of writing:
- Laundry
- Made a pasta salad to bring to a party tomorrow
- Grocery shopping
- Narrowly avoided being hit by a falling piece of ceiling tile at Target
- Called AT&T to bitch about my lousy cell reception and got a credit to my bill to make up for their “degraded tower” issues
- Pondered why it is that AT&T allows their towers to degrade to the point of it affecting my service
- Marinated chicken for dinner
- Watched three consecutive episodes of True Life on MTV
- Pondered how I can be 38 and still watching MTV
- Remembers for the billionth time that I still haven’t gotten that form for C’s pre-school notarized
- Looked up where to find a notary
- Watched more True Life and promised myself to go to the notary later
- Contemplated working in the garden
- Washed dishes
- Felt envy for people with dishwashers
- Decided that even though I’m staying home now dishes should still be primarily my husband’s responsibility
- Ditto taking out the trash
- And mowing the lawn
- Thought about the remaining dancers on So You Think You Can Dance and decided I really do want Melanie to win
- Read more of a memoir of a professional dominatrix and concluded that I did not miss my calling
- Read some blogs hoping for a jolt of desire to write
- Played some Words With Friends
- Wondered what language Words With Friends thinks I speak because it only gives me I’s and T’s
- Straightened my underwear drawer
- Wrote a total cop out post instead of anything substantive
I watched “True Life” the other day. For some reason the TV was turned to MTV. It was…horrid. Absolutely dreadful. Who the hell can watch that garbage?
