My friend Jodi posted this meme. She got it from Jean. I’m doing it because I need to flex my writing muscles before they atrophy and, at the end of the day, I’m my own favorite subject.
What is the last thing you watched on TV? I’m watching a rerun of Big Bang Theory as I type. I like nerds.
When did you last step outside? What were you doing? I took the kids to McDonald’s for dinner because my kitchen is being renovated and that seemed easier than microwaving something. It tasted like hopelessness and self-loathing but C loves Happy Meals.
What is on the walls of the room you are in? The tv, a large print of a magnolia flower, a 2013 calendar featuring photos of Italy. I need to replace that but I keep forgetting to get the piece I want to hang there framed.
If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy? I’d start a non-profit with a mission of public health for children. I’d tackle child hunger and making kids safe from violence, especially gun violence. Also, a new car for my husband.
Tell me something about you that most people don’t know. I can sing really well. I majored in theatre and studied voice. I used to have a nice, high soprano range but I’m way out of practice.
Who made the last incoming call on your phone? On my cell phone, my mom.
If you could change something about your home, without worry about expense or mess, what would you do? We’re doing the kitchen, as I said. The old layout was terrible; not enough space, no dishwasher, awkward placing. We took down a partial-wall to open the space up and putting in new everything. We also pulled up the ugly laminate floors and found original hardwood. What kind of idiot covers hardwood with laminate? If I had unlimited funds, I’d redo my whole basement. Nice laundry room, full bath, drywall and flooring, maybe even a bedroom down there. Ah, dreams…
What was the last thing you bought? The aforementioned Happy Meals and some groceries. My last fun purchase was a new GPS watch for running.
Would you go bungee jumping or sky diving? Nope. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Nope. #nope
If you could eat lunch with one famous person, who would it be? Al Franken. Or maybe John Irving. No, I think Al Franken.
Which store would you choose to max out your credit card? Nordstrom.
Is the glass half empty or half full? Usually half full but we all have our half empty days, don’t we?
What’s the farthest-away place you’ve been? Vienna. I’ve been to several places in Europe but Vienna is the eastern-most spot, I think. I went there on an extremely romantic vacation with my husband before we were married.
What’s under your bed? Dust bunnies and some luggage.
What is your favorite time of the day? Naptime. It’s usually the only time I’m alone and able to sit quietly.
What Inspires you? The idea of being part of solutions to big problems.
YEAH! You did it too!!!!!
I read this piece of writing fully concerning the resemblance of most recent
and preceding technologies, it’s amazing article.
