Follow Up To Kendra’s Agent

I didn’t hear back from Brian out there in LA so I sent him a follow up email (see below). I’m beginning to think Brian doesn’t really like me. Or maybe he’s just the wrong guy to go to when you really need to get things done. I’m taking this to her publisher. Stay tuned to this blog for THAT email…

Hi Brian,

It’s me again. The mom blogger on a mission. I’ve gotta say, I’m a little disappointed that you didn’t get right back to me after my email yesterday. I understand that you’re probably a busy guy and all. I mean, I watch Entourage. But that’s how I also know that agents JUMP every time the phone rings or their blackberry buzzes and they immediately start making things happen for their clients. Of course, it’s not like I’m offering Kendra a 3-picture deal from a major studio. But, seeing as all that I want is the free copy of her book, I feel like I could jump to the top of your priority list by virtue of being something really easy to add to the “done” column.

But whatever, Brian. Time is money and I’m not offering that. Or am I? If you go to my blog post where I included the complete full text of my original email to you, you will see that several of my readers are holding off on buying Kendra’s book until they hear from me. You see Brian? You’re keeping an opinion leader on hold! Kendra’s sales will stall unless you take immediate action!

I don’t hold any of this against you though, Brian. You’re operating in Hollywood which is a weird, weird place. I’m going to let you off the hook. I’m more of an east coast girl, anyway. Since you’re too wrapped up in doing important agent stuff in LA, I’m going to get in touch with Kendra’s publisher in New York and see if they can cough up a free book for a mom blogger who has literally dozens of readers waiting for her review.
